Tuesday 3rd October 2006

The draws for next season's 1st and 2nd XI knockouts were made at last night's end of season meeting, held at Sefton Park CC.

In the Littlewoods Gaming Knockout Trophy, holders Bootle travel to Ruskin Drive and newly promoted St Helens Recs. A second promoted club, Southport and Birkdale, have a bye into the second round and travel to either Orrell Red Triangle or Northern. Hightown were not included in the draw after conceding this season's tie at Northop Hall.

There are long journeys for Colwyn Bay, who visit First Division side Southport Trinity for the first time, and Lytham who travel in the opposite direction to Northop Hall. Prestatyn go to Ainsdale. Highfield stage a derby match, taking on neighbours Wigan.

Ties of the round are surely at Wallasey, where Ormskirk are the visitors, and at Sefton Park who play host to New Brighton. draw
