Major dates for 2010

The ECB has released the major match programme for the 2010 season.

The international season will commence on May 27th with the first npower Test v Bangladesh at Lordís. Following the second npower Test at Old Trafford, the Bangladesh team will head off to participate in the Asia Cup.

The England team will then play an ODI in Scotland on June 19th in the lead in to the five match NatWest Series v Australia. The three match NatWest Series v Bangladesh then follows.

As previously announced, ECB has agreed with PCB and CA to host a programme of cricket between Pakistan and Australia which had been due to be held in Pakistan Ė two Twenty20 internationals will be played at Edgbaston on July 5th and 6th, followed by Tests at Lord's and Headingley Carnegie starting on July 13th and 21st respectively.

England then play Pakistan in a four match npower Test series with matches staged at Trent Bridge, Edgbaston, the Brit Oval and Lord's.

The teams then play two NatWest Twenty20 internationals at the SWALEC Stadium followed by five one day internationals in the NatWest Series.

The Rose Bowl will be the venue for the ever popular Twenty20 finals day on Saturday August 14th while the final round of LV County Championship matches, to be played from September 13th to 16th, and the new ECB 40 over final at Lord's on Saturday September 18th will provide an exciting climax to the domestic season.
