Save Sefton Park Meadows
Wednesday 27th March 2013

Save Sefton Park Meadows is a campaign to stop Liverpool City Council from selling off a piece of rare green land close to Sefton Park to developers for luxury housing.

The land is just to the east of Sefton Park bounded by Mossley Hill Drive, Carnatic Road, Aigburth Vale and Queen's Drive. See here on Google maps.

Liverpool Mayor, Joe Anderson, is recommending that the site is declared 'surplus to Council requirements.

The land is cherished as part of the same landscape as the core of Sefton Park. If it is built on, Sefton Park will suffer.

The planning principle that protects all our green space from development would be undermined if the Council itself builds on its own public open space. Signatories to this e-Petition want to keep that planning principle.

The e-Petition runs from 14th March to 31st May 2013.

summary of the campaign

There will be a public meeting at the Rathbone Room, Greenbank Academy, Greenbank Lane, Liverpool L17 1AG on Tuesday 16th April 2013 at 7:00pm to discuss and decide where the campaign should go next.
