'CD' succeeds Stenhouse at the Park

Birkenhead Park have announced batsman Chris Davies (pictured left) as their new captain following the recent departure of Chris Stenhouse to Bootle.
Davies, formerly of New Brighton and Oxton, takes over at Park Drive after finishing 2014 as the club’s leading run scorer.
Park, who completed their first season back in the Liverpool Competition’s Premier League since 1997, in a creditable seventh place, are now hoping the new man at the helm can help promote the club's successful youth policy.
Paying tribute to the departing Stenhouse, who was club captain for four years, club secretary, Dave Lee admitted it was time for both sides to move on.
He said: "Stenny had been a standout performer for Park for the majority of his cricketing career and the honours boards will rightly record his contribution for posterity.
"He put himself forward to lead the club in the dark days following County League relegation in 2010 and the structural changes at the club over the last four years have been made easier by success on the field and promotion through the L&DCC's divisions.
“Chris Davies understands cricket and he understands cricketers and we are looking forward to supporting his vision for the development of the 1st XI. Recent weeks have been spent tracking options for strengthening, including the acquisition of the right overseas player.
“Chris will continue mentoring established players who now have a year of ECB Premier League experience under their belts and he will also be able to cast a fresh pair of eyes over the current crop of youngsters in the newly crowned L&DCC 2nd XI Champions, several of whom made their Premier League débuts last season."
