Rules of the Liverpool Echo Invitation Cricket Knockout Trophy
Friday 12th May 2017

The first of this season's Liverpool Echo Invitation Cricket Knockout Trophy matches was played this evening between Churchtown and Hightown St Mary's but the rules of the competition were not adhered to, despite the match being umpired by one of the MCUA's long established umpires.

Following a revision of the rules last season, a bowler's allowance was reduced from five overs to four, thus requiring a team to have a minimum of five bowlers NOT four as in previous years.

Churchtown and Hightown St Mary's played the match with bowlers being allowed five overs each.

This website is the only place where a copy of the rules can be found and so it is imperative that clubs download a copy for their use.
