First silverware for Old Xaverians
Sunday 10th September 2017

This season, Old Xaverians CC have been celebrating their 125th anniversary and yesterday their 2nd XI were celebrating being promoted to the First Division.

Today, following their demolishing of Prescot and Odyssey in a match brought forward from next Saturday, they can celebrate the winning of their first piece of silverware as champions of the Second Division.

Old Xaverians 2nd XI have now completed their league programme and lead Colwyn Bay, who have one match remaining and are also promoted, by forty points.

They were in sixth place after five matches but since they went top after eight, they have held that position week by week to finish with 14 wins and a total of 374 points.
