LDCC Fixtures for 2018

The league fixtures for the LDCC's 1st and 2nd XIs have been released with no fewer than 26 (twenty-six) listed as TBA (to be arranged), 25 of them involving 2nd XI matches.

In the ECB Premier League, Ormskirk begin the defence of their title with a trip to Lytham where they have won on their last four visits. New Brighton start and end the season with home matches at Rake Lane. Colwyn Bay finish their season with a long trip to Rainford.

The first week's matches are:-

Colwyn Bay v Leigh
Formby v Rainford
Lytham v Ormskirk
New Brighton v Highfield
Rainhill v Wallasey

Promoted Liverpool begin their season in the First Division with the visit of Burscough to Aigburth whilst the other promoted team, Wavertree, entertain relegated Ainsdale. Southport and Birkdale, who were also relegated from the ECB Premier League, entertain Newton le Willows.

Southport and Birkdale v Newton le Willows
Wavertree v Ainsdale

-   First Divison fixtures

The Second Divison welcomes back Sutton who start the season with a derby match against St Helens Town at New Street. Northop Hall and Maghull, who shared 856 runs in their two matches last season, meet at Smithy Lane. Relegated teams Hightown St Mary's and Skelmersdale meet at Firswood Park.
