Northern take on Wolves in
Royal London quarter final
Wednesday 1st August 2018
Northern, finalists in 2015, travel to Wolverhampton on Sunday for their quarter final tie in the Royal London Club Championship.
Wolverhampton are no strangers to Liverpool Competition clubs as they beat Bootle in the last 16 in 2017 having lost to Ormskirk at the same stage in 2000 and 2016 and in the semi finals in 2017 when they were bowled out for 82.
Meanwhile, Ormskirk have had to shelve their match against Richmondshire owing to their participation in the replay of the Vitality CLUB T20 Group 6 area finals day at Bradshaw.
Should both Liverpool Competition sides be successful, they would then meet at Brook Lane in the semi finals on September 2nd.
If this were to happen, it would lead to headaches at Old Trafford because if Northern beat Clifton and Ormskirk beat Darwen in the Lancashire Knockout Cup, sponsored by Heineken, on August 19th, the two sides would meet in the final at Ormskirk on a date scheduled to be, you've guessed it, September 2nd.
