The weekend's matches
Friday 7th September 2018

ECB Premier League contenders Northern need seven points to guarantee winning the title. They visit ninth placed Colwyn Bay (208 points) tomorrow who will be looking to stay away from the drop zone.

With Highfield (137 points) already relegated, no matter what happens at Lytham, Rainford (178 points) will remain in a relegation place.

After two wins and a tie, New Brighton (206 points) have climbed to 10th place after being bottom for the first thirteen weeks of the season.

In the First Division, Southport and Birkdale's lead of 67 points after twelve matches has been cut to just nine from Orrell Red Triangle who visit Trafalgar Road tomorrow and whoever wins could determine who wins the division. The two teams are already promoted.

Liverpool look doomed after just one season back in the First Division and will still be in the bottom two if they beat Wigan at Aigburth. Eleventh placed Burscough visit Sefton Park.

Northop Hall took a two point lead from Old Xaverians in the Second Division last week with Caldy falling a further 15 points behind. Northop Hall entertain Caldy whilst Southport Trinity are the visitors to Old Xaverians.

With matches at Parkfield Liscard and then Hightown St Mary's at home, will bottom team Alder be able to get off the mark and register their first win of the season?
