Tony Shillinglaw at neighbouring Birkenhead Park CC gives his own appreciation of Bob.
"I find it hard to think of any other 'One Club Cricketer' who has given so much to the game in so many ways over such a long period of time.
"Bob was not only a very good bowler and cricketer, he was a true cricket man in every sense and club cricket can only thrive through people like him.
"He will be much missed, not just by those at his beloved St Mary's Club but by us all in the local cricketing fraternity.
"My sincere condolences to both the family and all at St Mary's.
"Well played Bob."
