The future of Huyton
Friday 19th June 2020
Nearly two years ago, we posted an article on the ground that used to be Huyton Cricket Club, a founder member of the Liverpool and District Cricket Competition.
Today we sadly go one step further.
Aldi has opened a consultation on their plans to develop a supermarket on land off Huyton Lane (former Huyton Cricket and Bowling Club).
As well as a supermarket, their plans include a car park for 124 vehicles and landscaping around the site as well as junction improvements from Huyton Lane. The scheme would create 40 jobs on site.
The planning application also includes a residential development on the land for homes and apartments.
You can view the full proposals on Aldi's website – www.aldiconsultation.co.uk/huyton – and feedback is invited from Friday 19th June until Monday 29th June 2020.
You can request a copy of the consultation materials to be posted to you by calling Aldi on Freephone 0800 298 7040.
You can share your views through the website, you can email your views to firstname.lastname@example.org, share your views over the phone by ringing 0800 298 7040 (or you can write to Aldi Huyton Consultation, Freepost RTYC-TZRU-ARGA, BECG, 50 Brown Street, Manchester, M2 2JT.
