New Brighton were the first team to pass the 300 mark when they reached 312-5 at Rake Lane against Caldy. Mark Rowland. who hit his second successive century, reached 106 (69 balls, 16x4s, 4x6s) and opened the innings with a partnership of 149 with Dan Cooke, who made 67. Caldy made a valiant reply and reached 239-8.
In the other Wirral derby, Wallasey reached 251-7 against Birkenhead Park at the Oval where the visitors could only reach 126 with former Park all rounder, Harry Meehan taking 4-26.
Ormskirk are surprisingly on the bottom of the Group B table after a second defeat, this time at home to Formby. The visitors posted 258-4 with Callum Turner reaching an unbeaten 126 (140 balls, 12x4s, 3x6s) and adding 126 for the third wicket with Sam Oldham. Despite George Lavelle and Gary Knight adding 132 for Ormskirk's third wicket, they fell 10 runs short.
The match at Wadham Road was a 40 overs affair which Bootle won by eight wickets. Northern elected to bat and reached 159-8 but the home side passed their target with ease as Will Hale and Owais Shah each made 54.
There was a third century at Trafalgar Road where Jack Carney was undefeated on 101 (104 balls, 12x4s, 1x6) as Southport and Birkdale reached 246-3 against neighbours Fleetwood Hesketh who sadly only reached 111 in reply.
Steve Lucas hit 126 not out in Ainsdale's 198-4 against Southport Trinity who replied with 123 with four wickets apiece for Adam Friar and Olly Green.
