The last group qualification matches were played today. Of the thirty teams involved, only Liverpool and Wallasey registered six wins whilst Alder, Southport Trinity and Wavertree failed to record any.
Five teams scored over a thousand runs, Wallasey (1133), Liverpool (1077), New Brighton (1070), Maghull (1044) and Formby (1027).
Four teams conceded over a thousand runs, Caldy (1157), Wavertree (1119), New Brighton (1107) and Birkenhead Park (1067).
These statistics show that only New Brighton scored (1070) and conceded (1107) a thousand runs.
Southport and Birkdale went top of group A after beating neighbours Southport Trinity by 128 runs. The Sandgrounders were dismissed for 233 with Tony Campbell taking 5-37 but Trinity could only respond with 105.
Ainsdale, who had won their first four matches suffered a second defeat, this time by Fleetwood Hesketh who reached 146-7 in reply to Ainsdale's 145-8.

Formby's win against Bootle ensured they finished top of Group B. They held Bootle to 125 all out and then Callum Turner (65) took them to a win by seven wickets.
Ormskirk surprisingly finished bottom of the group with only one win following today's defeat by Northern at Moor Park. Ormskirk posted 155-6 but Northern's reply was reduced to 146 from 42 overs, a total they reached for the loss of three wickets after 33.1 overs with Liam Grey unbeaten on 65.

Hightown St Mary's registered their fifth win in Group C after bowling out Alder for 117, They then lost six wickets in reply.
Sutton finished as runners up after hitting 209-7. Maghull's target was reduced to 195 from 42 overs but they could only reach 154.

Newton le Willows and Rainford began the day tied on 12 points in Group D. Newton reached 154 but Rainford passed that total for the loss of eight wickets to go top of the group table.
Rainhill had a second win after being bowled out for 203 against St Helens Town with veteran wicket keeper Simon Brown (53) claiming six victims (ct5, st1). Saints were then bowled out for 83.

Liverpool made it six out of six in Group E after beating Old Xaverians by two wickets. Xavs posted 208-4, Ian Carroll leading the way with 65 not out. Steve Rimmer hit 102 (123 balls, 6x4s, 3x6s) as Liverpool reached 209-8 after 42.1 overs.
Sefton Park's total of 210-9 was too much for Wavertree who could only muster 115.

Over on the Wirral, Wallasey also made it six out of six in Group F after beating Caldy by 123 runs at the Oval after the visitor's target was reduced to 257 in 44 overs. Jamie Crawley hit 85 and Alex Eagles 71 in Wallasey's total of 263-7.
Birkenhead Park had a comfortable 106 runs margin after bowling out New Brighton for 76 with Alex Harris taking 5-18 in reply to Park's 182.

Finally, in Group G, Leigh took the group after beating Orrell Red Triangle at the YMCA Ground. Orrell reached 149-8 in a match that started as a 41 overs a side contest but Leigh's reply was reduced to 138 from 38 overs, a target they passed in 26.2 overs.
Highfield's defeat of Wigan ensured they finished in second place. Wigan were bowled out for 81 at Billinge Road, a total Highfield passed for the loss of four wickets.
The remaining match was won by Norley Hall whose 193-9 was more than enough for Spring View who could only reach 91.
