Good news from Huyton
Friday 1st January 2021

Cricket followers on Merseyside can go into 2021 with the knowledge that the site known as Huyton Cricket Club has been saved from the bulldozers.

Granted Grade II listing status in September 2020, news has come through that Aldi has formally withdrawn its application to build a store and housing on the site.

This is tremendous news and a big victory for many people who supported the efforts to save the historic club from yet another identikit development.

Work will now begin to get on with work to restore the club and put it back into use as something beneficial to the whole community.

A dedicated band of volunteers is already working with Dream Heritage.
