Liverpool Competition player suspensions for 2004 season

NOTE:

The suspensions listed below apply to organisations affiliated to the Lancashire Cricket Board, neighbouring county boards and the England and Wales Cricket Board


Sunday 6th September 2004

The following player has been suspended for FOUR weeks (for abuse of cricket equipment and verbal abuse of an umpire during the match Southport and Birkdale v Maghull on Saturday 4th September) commencing midnight Friday 10th September to midnight Friday 24th September 2004 and from midnight Friday 6th May to midnight Friday 20th May 2005 or such other dates that will incorporate the first two league fixtures of the 2005 season, in accordance with the Disciplinary Guidelines nos 1 and 3 (para 2).

Sunday 22nd August 2004

The following player has been suspended for ONE week, commencing midnight Friday 27th August to midnight Friday 3rd September for the abuse of cricket equipment during the match between Liverpool and Newton le Willows on Sunday 22nd August 2004, in accordance with the Disciplinary Guidelines.

Friday 20th August 2004

The following player has been suspended for THREE weeks, commencing midnight Friday 20th August to midnight Friday 10th September, for verbal abuse of an umpire during the match between Orrell Red Triangle and Newton le Willows on Saturday 31st July 2004, in accordance with the Disciplinary Guidelines.

Wednesday 18th August 2004

The following player has been suspended for TWO weeks, commencing midnight Friday 30th July to midnight Friday 13th August with a further week suspended until the end of the 2005 season, for verbal abuse of an umpire during the match between Maghull II and Southport and Birkdale II on Saturday 24th July 2004, in accordance with the Disciplinary Guidelines.

Wednesday 11th August 2004

The following player has been suspended for THREE weeks, commencing midnight Friday 30th July to midnight Friday 20th August, for verbal abuse of an umpire during the match between Maghull II and Southport and Birkdale II on Saturday 24th July 2004, in accordance with the Disciplinary Guidelines.

The following player has been suspended for THREE weeks, commencing midnight Friday 6th August to midnight Friday 27th August, for verbal abuse of an umpire during the match between St Helens Recs and Caldy on Saturday 31st July 2004, in accordance with the Disciplinary Guidelines.

Wednesday 23rd June 2004

The following player has been suspended for ONE week from midnight Friday 25th June to midnight Friday 2nd July 2004 for unacceptable behaviour during the match Hightown v Highfield on Saturday 12th June 2004.

The following player has been suspended for ONE week (suspended until the end of the 2004 season) for offences in the same match.

The following player has been suspended for ONE week from midnight Friday 25th June to midnight Friday 2nd July 2004 for verbal abuse of an umpire during the fixture between Liverpool II and New Brighton II on Saturday 12th June 2004.

Saturday 5th June 2004

The following player has been suspended for THREE weeks from midnight Friday 11th June to midnight Friday 2nd July 2004 for incidents of verbal abuse, verbal dissent and abuse of equipment of the opposition during the fixture between Fleetwood Hesketh and Worsley on Saturday 29th May 2004.

Friday 4th June 2004

Following further information being revealed, which was not included within the Umpire's Report on which the decision to suspend Howard Parker (Sefton Park) (notice 01108) for one week following verbal dissent to an Umpire during the match between Sefton Park and Leigh on Saturday 22nd May 2004 was made, the suspension has been withdrawn.

The player was suspended by his club for one match immediately following the game and did not play in the Cockspur Cup fixture on the following day. He also received a further one match suspension, suspended until the end of the season.

The following player has been suspended for THREE weeks, commencing midnight Friday 4th June to midnight Friday 25th June, for verbal abuse of an umpire during the match between Formby II and Hightown II on Monday 31st May 2004, in accordance with the Disciplinary Guidelines.

Following an incident in the Lytham v Maghull match on Saturday 22nd May 2004, the following player has been suspended for ONE match, on Saturday 29th May 2004, for the use of offensive language and abuse of cricket equipment.
