Liverpool Competition player suspensions for 2006 season

NOTE:

The suspensions listed below apply to organisations affiliated to the Lancashire Cricket Board, neighbouring county boards and the England and Wales Cricket Board, unless otherwise stated.


Tuesday 26th September 2006

Following abuse of an umpire during the match between Northern and Colwyn Bay on 16th September 2006, the following player has been suspended for three weeks commencing midnight on the Friday immediately prior to the first Premier League fixture of 2007.

This suspension includes includes one week for the offence plus two weeks for the suspended sentence which was placed in force until the end of the 2006 season in September 2005.

A further two weeks suspended sentence has now been placed in force until the end of the 2007 season.

Wednesday 30th August 2006

Following an abuse of equipment incident in the fixture between Newton le Willows and Ainsdale on 26th August, the following player has received an Accumulated Bad Behaviour point in accordance with Item 5 of the Disciplinary Guidelines.

Thursday 3rd August 2006

Following an incident in the fixture v Bootle on 15th July 2006, the following player has been suspended for one week commencing at midnight on Friday 4th August 2006 until midnight Friday 11th August 2006, served with a further one week suspended sentence until the end of the 2007 season for accumulated bad behaviour. The suspension relates only to competitive matches under the jurisdiction of the L&DCC.

The Northern Club has been fined 25.00 for its inability to deal with the Umpires' Report within a reasonable timescale.

In addition, the Northern Club has reminded all 1st XI players of their responsibilities to umpires, their opponents, their captain and team mates and the game of cricket in general, by adhering to the principles laid down in the 'Spirit of Cricket' guidelines.

All players have been provided with a copy of these principles which will be displayed in the clubhouse.

For abuse of cricket equipment during the match St Helens Recs v Southport Trinity at Ruskin Drive on Saturday 29th July 2006, the following player has been suspended for one week from midnight Friday 4th August 2006 to midnight Friday 11th August 2006. served

The club meets at the weekend to consider any further action and will advise accordingly.

As a result of on field incidents during the match Northern v Bootle at Moor Park on Saturday 15th July 2006, the following player has been suspended for one match on Saturday 22nd July 2006 for 'bringing the game into disrepute'. served

Friday 7th July 2006

 

As a result of on field incidents involving matters relating to abusive language and conduct by the following player during the Chester Cup 2nd Round fixture between Leigh CC and Fleetwood Hesketh CC on Sunday 2nd July 2006, an internal disciplinary hearing at Leigh CC was held on Thursday 6th July 2006, which has resulted in the player being suspended for two weeks with effect from midnight on Friday 7th July 2006 to midnight Friday 21st July 2006 inclusive, served together with a further two week ban suspended for the remainder of season 2006. served

Thursday 29th September 2005

 

Following an incident of dissent and obscene, offensive and insulting verbal abuse of an umpire during the Caldy II v Worsley II fixture on Saturday 10th September last, the following player has been suspended for 3 weeks, commencing midnight Friday prior to the first fixture of the 2006 season, ie from midnight Friday 14th April to midnight Friday 5th May 2006, or such other commencing season date as applies to the Worsley club. served

 

The further two week suspended sentence until the end of the 2006 season imposed on Thursday 15th September 2005 has been withdrawn.

Wednesday 14th September 2005

 

Following an incident of dissent and obscene, offensive and insulting verbal abuse of an umpire during the Wallasey v Northern fixture on Saturday 10th September last, the following player has been suspended for one week, commencing midnight Friday 16th September to midnight Friday 23rd September 2005.

 

The suspension of a further three weeks will commence from midnight Friday 14th April to midnight Friday 5th May 2006, or such other commencing season date. served

 

In addition, a further two week suspended sentence will apply until the end of the 2006 season.

Thursday 9th June 2005

Following  an incident in the match Formby II v Wigan II on Monday 30th May involving deliberate physical contact on a member of the opposing team, the following player has been suspended from midnight Friday 10th June to midnight Friday 24th June. served

In addition, 3 further match suspensions will apply in respect of the fixtures versus Formby CC during seasons 2005 and 2006. A further one week suspended sentence will apply until the end of the 2006 season.
