Life Trophy - LDCC U15s make it a final hat trick

The Liverpool Competition's U15 XI made it a hat trick for the league as they became the third side to reach a final when they defeated the Northern League at Blackpool today in a Canada Life Trophy semi final.
After being asked to bat by the Northern League, Steve Mullaney (Leigh) and Matthew Glayzer (Ormskirk) opened with a partnership of 111 before Glayzer went for 39. Mullaney went on to reach 93 and with Ian Cockbain adding 35 from 36 balls, the score reached 191-3 after 38 overs.
Wickets fell in the quest for more quick runs, resulting in the LDCC being all out for 204 in 44.5 overs.
The Northern League went on to 121 all out from 31.2 overs with Ian Cockbain (4-12) and Matthew Glayzer (4-33).
The LDCC now meet either the Cheshire County League or the South Moorlands League in the final at Cheadle Hulme CC next Tuesday, 27th August at 1:00 pm.
