Obituary - 'Eddie' Majewska
Sunday 11th January 2004

It is with regret that the death was announced, last Monday, of Edward 'Eddie' Majewska, aged 89.

Although he didn't play the game of cricket, 'Eddie' was well known and respected in the Litherland and Crosby areas of Liverpool having been umpire and scorer with Litherland, Ince Blundell and St Mary's Old Boys CCs before following his son, Alan (1st XI scorer with Northern), to Moor Park.

'Eddie' was one of people at Northern that one looked forward to meeting on their annual pilgrimage to Moor Park, when he would relate his years of experiences and knowledge of the game, in between helping his son with the scoreboard.

'Eddie' Majewska's funeral will take place at Thornton (Crosby) Crematorium on Wednesday 14th January at 2:00 pm, followed by the Park Hotel, Dunnings Bridge Road, Netherton.

The Liverpool Competition extends its sincerest condolences to Eddie's family.
