Vaughan Williams to conduct the batting at Ormskirk
Wednesday 21st January 2004

Vaughan Williams began the 2002 season in whirlwind fashion for Northern, scoring 675 in 11 innings (average 84.37) with 8x50s and a top score of 96 against Worsley before answering a call to return to his native Australia.

This coming season he will be Ormskirk's overseas player as new captain John Armstrong strives to bring the Premier League title back to Brook Lane. Also at Brook Lane will be former favourite, Phil Unsworth, after a two year stint at Northern.

Over at Church Road, Lytham's New Zealander Warren McSkimming replaces Daniel Thompson as captain for the forthcoming season.
