PCA Masters cricket match at Hightown
Nick Gordon - Monday 1st August 2005

An invitation to all L&DCC clubs . . .

Next Wednesday, 10th August, is the prestigious PCA Masters cricket match at Hightown - now in its third year. Confirmed names so far are Merv Hughes, Gladstone Small, Chris Lewis, Neil Smith and Chris Schofield. Gladstone also reckons that Robin Smith and former Australia test player Colin Miller are both likely to play too!

The format will be two 20 over games, played with a white ball with players wearing coloured clothing.

The first game starts at 1:30pm and prices are 5.00 and 3.00 (concessions).

Event sponsors Rensburg Sheppards will have exclusivity over the clubhouse during the match, but we will have food vans and beers tents set up around the ground to cater for the general public. As always, it promises to be a superb day out. Last year ended up being a superb night out too (as I can personally testify!), with many of the players staying well into the night - and some even venturing off into Liverpool after that!

Furthermore, there are some excellent raffle prizes to be had, including signed memorabilia and a weekend in the south of France up for grabs.

Hightown extends a warm invite to all L&DCC member clubs to come and join us for this very special occasion.

If anyone has any queries just give me a call on my mobile, 07795 440495.

Best regards

Nick Gordon
