Ormskirk and Bootle booked a semi final tie at Brook Lane after today's third round matches in the Littlewoods Gaming Knockout Trophy.

Using seven bowlers, Liverpool eventually bowled out their visitors for 201 with one ball remaining from their 45 overs. Marc Kelly taking 4-29 and Grant Robinson, 3-26.

Liverpool were never in the hunt after the interval and collapsed to 88 all out after 38 overs with Adam Sanford taking 3-6.

At Wadham Road, Bootle gained revenge for yesterday's one wicket defeat by Lytham with a nine wicket victory over the Fylde side.

Without captain Marcus Sharp, who was captaining Cumberland against Suffolk at Mildenhall, Lytham elected to bat and finished with 147 after 38.1 overs. Nick Knight batting at no 3, held the innings together with 74*, Simon Long adding 26 and Dan Thompson, 24 against the bowling of David Snellgrove (5-47) and Matty Lawless (3-23).

Bootle were without Graham Lloyd, also at Mildenhall, but they cruised to a nine wicket victory after Snellgrove (72*) and Ian A Cockbain (59) had opened the innings with 118.
