Player Registration
Friday 14th March 2008

GENERAL

1.    Clubs, especially the four new ones, Burscough, Norley Hall, Rainford and Skelmersdale, are reminded that registration forms may be downloaded here for the forthcoming season. Forms are also available on the left hand index.

2.    All 1st and 2nd XI players (plus any overseas players playing in 3rd XIs) MUST be registered with the L&DCC before they can play.

3.    With the first matches being on Saturday 12th April, the 72 hour deadline for registration for the first week is lunchtime on Wednesday 9th April, 12:30pm for 1st XIs, 1:45pm for 2nd and 3rd XIs.

4.    If players are not registered/re-registered before that time, they CANNOT play on the Saturday. There is NO leeway.

5.    There is a change on the forms this year to fall in line with ECB regulations. The player categorisation is now as follows:

        Category 1: eligible for England
        Category 2: eligible for England - contracted County players
        Category 3: overseas players
        Category 3 (exempt): overseas players, ordinarily resident in UK

CATEGORY 1 OVERSEAS BORN PLAYERS

1.    Evidence is requested of 'British Citizen' status for overseas born Category 1 players  This may be by the relevant page from the player's passport or a copy of his 'Naturalisation as a British Citizen' certificate.

CATEGORY 3 OVERSEAS PLAYERS

1.    Forms from overseas players must be accompanied by copies of the ID picture and personal details pages from their passports.

CATEGORY 3 (EXEMPT) PLAYERS)

1.    Forms from Category 3 (exempt) players must be accompanied by (i) the associated indemnity form as evidence is required of the on going status of clubs' Category 3 (exempt) players. and (ii) by copies of the ID picture and personal details pages from their passports.

NOTE: Existing Category 3 (exempt) registered players are also required to sign and return the indemnity form.

TRANSFER OF PLAYERS

1.    Forms from players joining from another club must be accompanied by a clearance letter from that club. No clearance letter and the player won't be allowed to play.

RE-REGISTRATION FORMS

1.    Re-registration forms have already been circulated to clubs and should be returned with modifications as soon as possible, and no later than the meeting on Tuesday 8th April (see below).

RETURN OF REGISTRATION DATA

Completed forms and associated data may be:

(i)    e-mailed to the Registration Secretary, or

(ii)   faxed to +44 (0)151 339 7985 (this will go to 'call minder' which will then store the fax), or

(iii)  sent by surface mail to: PGM Lovgreen, 49 Wetherby Way, Little Sutton, Ellesmere Port, Cheshire CH66 4TB

REGISTRATION FORMS WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED IF THEY HAVE NOT BEEN SIGNED BY (a) THE PLAYER AND (b) A CLUB OFFICIAL.


CRB DATA

Copies of players' CRB data, including their Overseas Vetting form (see left hand index), should be sent to the ECB Child Protection Team at Lord's as stated on the Vetting Form.

If any issues arise, the ECB will advise the respective County Welfare Officer as a club's ClubMark status is likely to be affected.
 


MEETING

The pre season meeting at Sefton Park CC is on Tuesday 8th April at 7:30pm.
