The weekend's matches
Friday 16th September 2011

The LDCC goes into the last weekend of its season with the winners of the three divisions yet to be decided.

The ECB Premier League title could go to one of four places. Ormskirk (311 pts) lead  from Leigh (301) with Bootle (299) and Northern (292) following them. Newton le Willows and Northop Hall are already relegated.

Maghull (322 pts) lead the First Division with Southport and Birkdale (314) the only challengers for the title. Prestatyn (114 pts) are already relegated with St Helens Recs (182) joining them if Liverpool (205) get 3 pts against Wallasey.

In the Second Division, Fleetwood Hesketh (355 pts) are without a match and will nervously sit out the afternoon whilst neighbours Ainsdale (333) seek a minimum of 23 pts against Caldy at Liverpool Road to clinch the title. Former umpire and now Fleetwood Hesketh scorer, Mike Dixon guests in the scorebox on behalf of Caldy. At the other end of the table, Birkenhead St Mary's have already claimed the wooden spoon.
