The weekend's matches
Friday 1st May 2015

Eyes will be focused on Robbie Houghton at Wadham Road tomorrow where Birkenhead Park meet hosts Bootle in one of the Liverpool Competition's oldest fixtures.

The former Sefton Park slow left arm spinner, who moved Park in 2013, is just three wickets away from joining the select band of players who have taken 1000 league wickets in the Competition. In the post war era, only Liverpool's Geoff Blackburn (1088) and New Brighton's John Conway (1043) have reached the magical figure.

With rain forecast for the region from 4:00pm onwards, Bootle would have to bat first to give Robbie a chance of reaching the target during the match.
