Saturday 23rd May 2015

Colwyn Bay completed a hat trick of wins at Rainford, beating them by a huge 189 runs. Electing to bat, the Bay began with a partnership of 132 before Zach Gidlow fell for 62. Jordan Evans came and went for 7 before George Johansen joined his captain, opener Sion Morris (pictured left). The pair added an unbroken 108 with Morris ending on 135 not out (147 balls, 13x4s, 7x6s) and Johansen, 45 not out in a declared total of 261-2 from 48 overs. Rainhill then perished at the hands of left arm seamer, Samad Fallah who returned a Competition best 8-27 as they were dismissed for a paltry 72.  scorecard
