First Division - Fallah and Holtby destroy Fleetwood at the Bay
Saturday 30th May 2015

If Colwyn Bay continue to play as they are at the moment, they could well be back in the ECB Premier League next season. Despite losing opener and captain, Sion Morris, for a three ball duck and Jordan Evans for 11 five overs later, the Bay raced to 222-6d after 45 overs thanks to a third wicket partnership of 147 between Zac Gidlow (86) and George Johansen (90). Fleetwood Hesketh used seven bowlers in an attempt to stem the runs. Samad Fallah (5-13) and Ryan Holtby (3-18) then dismissed Hesketh for just 49 after 27 overs.  scorecard

Maghull remain in second place after their draw at Liverpool Road. Malcolm Swift's unbeaten 84 from 72 balls (10x4s, 5x6s) took Ainsdale from 100-4 to 221-9d after 54 overs with Declan Devine taking 3-44 and Ryan Swiers, 3-61. Adnan Rasool (5-59) kept the Maghull batsmen struggling for runs as they finished on 161-8.  scorecard

Sefton Park are one of five teams separated by two points after they drew with St Helens Town at Croxteth Drive. Opener Adam Irwin hit 104 from 119 balls with 16x4s and 1x6 as Sefton reached 243-8d in 52.3 overs. Town captain Craig Woods then struck 91 as their last pair hung on for a draw at 190-9 with Peter Kelly taking 4-42 and Fraser Hill, 3-25.  scorecard

Rainford's Andy Davies had Prestatyn in a spin at Beach Close where he took 5-43 as the home side were restricted to 131 all out after 52.2 overs. Matt Bailey (38) and Joseph Noctor (39*) took the visitors home by seven wickets.  scorecard

Northop Hall elected to bat at Crow Lane East and raced to 243-5d in 53 overs after Danny Nolan (46) and James Hurlin (86) had opened the innings with a stand of 134. Newton le Willows were never in the hunt as they finished with 165-7 (Ian Walkden, 45) thanks to Will Higginson taking 4-57 and Ammar Mahmood, 3-52.  scorecard
