First Division - Maiden Campion century gives the Bay a lead in weekend double

Adam Campion completed his maiden century as Colwyn Bay beat Ainsdale by 132 runs at Penrhyn Avenue. He joined opener Zac Godlow after the Bay had lost skipper Sion Morris for 6 and they added 143 before Malcolm Swift rearranged Gidlow's stumps for 52. Campion then took control until he was dismissed at 211-5 for 114 from 115 balls with 16x4s and 3x6s, The declaration came at 226-6 after 44.2 overs. Ainsdale opened with a partnership of 21 but soon slid to 33-7. Adnan Rasool hit 36 to take them to a final total of 96 with Ryan Holtby taking 4-25, thus enabling the Bay to go thirty points ahead of Maghull who were without a match.  scorecard

Wigan's move to third place after thrashing Rainford by 127 runs at the Jubilee Recreation Ground. John Richardson (56), Jake Leyland (71) and Aaron Redmond (72*) took them to 252-6d after 55 overs with Dan Houghton taking 3-69. Matthew Bailey opened with 50 in Rainford's reply but Wigan's bowlers ran through the batting to leave them 125 all out with Chris Highton taking 5-8 in eight overs. John Dotters had a miserable return to Rainford after a short sabbatical at Northern. He conceded fifty-three runs in eleven overs and was caught behind by Mark Rowe for 0 after facng six balls  scorecard

Sefton Park drop a slot after losing at Prestatyn. James Baird hit 76 in a disappointing batting display by Sefton as they were bowled out for 165 in 52.2 overs with Sampath Perera taking 4-31 and Kieron New, 3-67. Sefton had Prestatyn in trouble at 83-5 but Danny Williams (56*) and Rhys Jones (46) added 81 to give them a four wicket victory.  scorecard

Fleetwood Hesketh had no answer to Newton le Willows' Tahir Maqsood, who took 7-31 as they collapsed to 88 all out in 37 overs. It then took Newton 23 overs to reach 90-3.  scorecard

Northop Hall posted 240-6d in 49 overs against St Helens Town at Ruskin Drive. Neil Worrall (48) and Gareth Williams (62) added 103 for the fourth wicket with Will Higginson adding a further 42. In reply, Town's last pair hung on for a draw as the total finished on 151-9 after 51 overs.  scorecard
