Here are the end of season statistics for the First Division, statistics that won't be found anywhere else.

In 2016, 34539 runs were scored for the loss of 1803 wickets in 9870.5 overs.

Of the 132 matches, there were 102 results (77.27%), 8 draws (6.06%), 5 no decisions (3.78%) and 17 abandoned without a ball being bowled (12.87%).

Maghull's Old Hall Field yielded the most runs, 3683, whilst most wickets, 188, fell at Sefton Park. table 1  table 2

Wigan scored most runs with 3557 whilst Sefton Park, took most wickets (180).

Northop Hall faced most overs, 918.2. table 3  table 4

Sefton Park (1001.0) was the only team to bowl more than 1000 overs. table 5  table 6

17 centuries were scored to bring the total to 438 since the formation of the division in 1999.

There were 24 century partnerships during the season to bring the total to 640 since 1999.

On to personal achievements, Wigan's Aaron Redmond headed the runs list with 922 (avge 61.46) whilst Sefton Park's Robbie Houghton took 67 wickets (avge 11.01)'

Ainsdale's Malcolm Swift took most catches by an outfield player (19).

Fleetwood Hesketh's Lee Rimmer headed the wicket keeping list with 30 victims, 13 caught and 17 stumped.
