Crawley hits double century in Scotland
Monday 7th June 2021

Wallasey's Jamie Crawley (pictured left) hit an unbeaten 66 for them on Saturday in their win against Wigan but he wasn't available for their Royal London Club Championship match against Prestwich yesterday.

Why? You may ask.

Because he was busy hitting a quick fire double century north of the border.

He was representing Eastern Knights against Caledonian Highlanders in Cricket Scotland's Regional Pro Series at the Grange in Edinburgh.

Opening the batting, Jamie hit 206 from 144 balls with 18x4s and 11x6s as the Knights piled up 448-9 in 50 overs.

He shared a second wicket partnership of 123 and then one of 138 for the fifth wicket before being seventh wicket down at 426.

The shell shocked Highlanders replied with 134 all out in 29.5 overs.
