Sunday's results - Northern win L&DCC Vitality CLUB T20 after holders are skittled in semis

 Vitality CLUB T20 - L&DCC Finals Day  

Ormskirk lost their grip of the L&DCC's Vitality CLUB T20 Trophy that they have held since 2015 when they were skittled for 64 in reply to Leigh's 185-6 in the semi finals at Brook Lane, Ormskirk today. It was Ormskirk's first defeat since they lost to Northern in the 2014 final.

Meanwhile, earlier in the day, Northern posted 186-8 against Wallasey with Chris Laker and Liam Grey adding 132 for the second wicket. Ryan Maddock then took 4-16 and Laker, 3-24, as Wallasey were bowled out for 97.

In the final, Northern bowled out Leigh for 116 (Justin Snow 3-16) and romped to victory by nine wickets in 15.1 overs with openers Chris Laker and Jack Boardman hitting 97 in 12.2 overs. Laker played second fiddle in the partnership and was out for 29 but Boardman went on to an unbeaten 75 from 52 balls with 8x4s and 3x6s.

Northern last won the trophy in 2014 having previously held it in 2012 when they beat Bootle in the final.
