Sunday's results - Northern and Wallasey advance in Royal London

Northern have to thank the Cole brothers for reaching 193-9 at Furness. The Crosby club found themselves struggling on 25-4 after 4.5 overs when James joined brother Stephen, who had opened the innings. The pair added 116 for the fifth wicket before Stephen was out for 54 at the 30 over mark. James was out two balls later for 53. Furness fought back and only 44 runs were added from the final 10 overs to leave the hosts requiring 194 to win.

Furness reached 94-3 after 25.1 overs but then collapsed, losing seven wickets for the addition of only 24 runs in 12.1 overs with Tom Sephton taking 4-22.

Northern now travel to South Northumberland who comfortably beat York by nine wickets.

Wallasey began their tie against Leigh with an opening partnership of 85 in 12.5 overs when Daniel Beaver fell for 54. Fellow opener Josh Rylance followed for 30 two overs later. With Harry Meehan hitting 26 and Steve Williams 22*, the Wirral team closed on 205-8.

Former Lancashire batsman, Karl Brown, hit 36 for Leigh as they ended on 159 all out with Greg Beaver taking 4-18.

Wallasey will host Woodlands from Yorkshire in the fourth round following their defeat of Appleby Frodingham.
